Ayr Rugby Football Club

On Saturday Ayr RFC head to Bridgehaugh to take on Stirling County in the Tennent's Premiership after a weekend off.

With us now past the half-way stage of the season the race for play-off places is intensifying and front-runners Ayr will look to return to winning ways after a narrow defeat in their last outing against Currie Chieftains.

County currently sit a tad off the pace, languishing in mid-table obscurity. Nothing is ever concrete in Scotland's marquee club league, however, and a rich vein of form from the Bridgehaugh men would blow the table wide open.

The backs remain unchanged from the seven selected to start the Chieftains clash.

In the pack kiwi Lars Morrice will make his debut after joining the club two weeks ago. He partners David Corbenici in the engine room.

Club captain Pete McCallum starts at open-side after impressing in his return to action off the bench two weeks ago.

Alfie North drops to the bench and Amir Rademaker joins him, after returning from international duty.

The 2XV were scheduled for a 14.00 kick-off at Bridgehaugh but unfortunately action has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
