Earlier today the Ayrshire Bulls signed off pre-season with a victory over Watsonians at Myreside, pipping them at the post 24-25. Despite a late Ross Thompson's winner from the tee it wasn't the result that pleased head coach Pete Murchie, but rather the performance of his men.

Speaking after the 100 minutes of action (Divided up into one forty and three twenty minute periods) he said: "You don't get any points from pre-season, so it is about performance. Usually if you put in the performance you get the result but I wasn't particularly looking at the score board. "I guess a win is always good but today was about looking at skill level, particularly in tough conditions".
