P1-P7 Mini Rugby
Over the years Ayr have established one of the largest and most successful mini sections in the country. Catering for both boys and girls, players in Primary 1 - 3 begin learning the fundamentals of rugby in a non contact 'touch rugby' environment. Players in P4-P7 further develop their skills with the introduction of the tackle and ruck. All of our volunteer coaches are SRU qualified and have been vetted by the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme providing a fun and safe environment for children to learn and develop. Training takes place on Sunday mornings at Doonside Playing Fields, and we play a number of fixtures and festivals across Scotland during the season. If you would like your child to come along and try rugby please contact our mini convenor, Shaun Markey, minis@ayrrugbyclub.co.uk
